Former LionsXII defender Baihakki Khaizan Bola Sepak News

The Singapore international, who has been de-enrolled for whatever is left of the season, declared his want to rejoin his previous club, however, he won't be permitted to do so on loan.

Former LionsXII defender, Baihakki Khaizan won't be permitted to come back to his previous club on loan in the wake of being de-enrolled for current side Johor Darul Takizm (JDT).

The Singapore international was cut from JDT's first-team for whatever remains of the season two weeks back and thusly supported a come back to the LionsXII, yet the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has expressed that the only way for Baihakki to do so was to end his contract with JDT.

It will be remembered that Baihakki signed a four-year deal in January to move to Johor in a huge-cash exchange. The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) filed a plea to get him again to LionsXII, yet this was rejected by FAM on Tuesday after a meeting.

Datuk Seria Afandi Hamzah, chairman of FAM's Local Competition Committee stated to Astro Arena that, "The committee has considered that Baihakki is JDT’s import player and if he were to return to LionsXII, he will be considered as a local player for LionsXII, which means his contract must end first before he can play for the Lions in the Super League.”

FAM has given FAS and Baihakki a week to work on a resolution of the issue however; it appears to be unrealistic that the defender will end his contract with JDT. In spite of the current dilemma of the defender, a ruling does not forbid him from making a temporary move to a foreign league.
