The Singapore international, Baihakki Khaizan, is set to make a comeback to his previous club for whatever remains of the season after agreeing in some terms while awaiting for the go signal from the Football Association of Malaysia.
The LionsXII is set to welcome Baihakki Khaizan again for the rest of the Malaysia Super League season, after the Singapore international concurred terms for a move.
An FAS spokesperson indicated that, "His move is not official yet because we are waiting for the Football Association of Malaysia to finalise the paperwork and give the green light.
We will update the media when Baihakki has been cleared to play for the LionsXII."
It will be remembered that the 30-year-old football star joined JDT at the beginning of the 2014 Malaysia Super League season but was cut from the team mid of April. It will also be noted that Baihakki stated that he would take a break for the rest of the campaign before he rejoins JDT II.
It is also clear that Baihakki will still link up with JDT II next season after he ends his LionsXII appearances.
There were rumours that Baihakki is planning to return to LionsXII on a loan, but the FAM had ruled out that the player will not be allowed to do so and that the only option left for the player is to terminate his contract with JDT.
Last week, it has finally come to an end. Baihakki’s 4-year contract with JDT was put to an end. And now, he can freely join LionsXII.
The move might come as uplifting news for Baihakki, with the AFF Suzuki Cup to take on at the end of the year, which enables the player to get a consistent playing time.
